As of 16 April 2019, it is compulsory for goods imported into the Canary Islands to use pallets that comply with the ISPM No. 15 standard. These pallets must be unmistakably and visibly marked (black stamp) to confirm that they have undergone an approved phytosanitary treatment. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in fines and possible destruction of the goods.
